CATCH BASINS and YARD DRAINS
Catch basins and yard drains are components of a drainage system that are used to collect and remove surface water and prevent it from pooling or flooding. They are typically placed directly in a specific low spot to capture excess water and remove it from the said area.
Catch Basins are a common solution to collecting water from a low area in a yard. This has the same function as the drain in your tub...it gives the water a way out!
Here, we tied a new catch basin into our customers existing french drain.
Debris was clogging these two drains - so, we put gravel beds around them to keep the debris away.
This customer needed a catch basin installed as well as a pipe capped off.
We also graded the surrounding area down to the drain.
